This indicates that they had a diet, which included meat, fish, and possibly even plants. Their teeth are also well preserved enabling scientists to study their structure and function. Interestingly possessed feathers! To be precise Alioramus is, among the dinosaurs with clear evidence of feathers from preserved skin impressions. These feathers were structures resembling hair called protofeathers, which covered its body. While the exact purpose remains unknown it’s plausible that the provided insulation played a role in display or offered protection.

Alioramus is closely related to Tyrannosaurus Rex, which is the famous dinosaur. Interestingly both species have skull structures making it easy to mistake the Alioramus for a relative. However, This dinosaur is much shorter than T Rex measuring around 6 7 meters compared to T Rex’s length of 12 meters. Additionally, they lived 5 million years before T Rex during the Cretaceous period while T Rex existed a few million years later in the same period.
